Last week, more than 6,000 KeyCorp employees participated in the 25th annual Neighbors Make the Difference Day, a day of volunteerism.
Neighbors Make the Difference Day began in 1991, and on May 13, 2015 KeyBank celebrated its 25th anniversary of giving back to communities across thirteen states, with 6,000 employees participating and giving 24,000 of volunteer hours. This is the largest company sponsored volunteerism effort in nation.
Part of the focus is to give back to communities where employees live and work—a wonderful way to say thank you for being great neighbors. At Key Equipment Finance, we rolled up our sleeves to help with community projects ranging from painting and fence repair to assembling packages of food to making quilts for children in need. Our 2015 community partners included:
- Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center
- Town of Superior
- Firefly Autism
- City of Westminster
- Project Linus
- Mountain States Children's Home
- A Precious Child
- FISH Community Food Bank
- Birds of Prey
- Sister Carmen
Neighbors Make the Difference Day is one of the reasons KeyCorp has been nationally recognized for improving the quality of life in its communities through The Civic 50, an initiative of Points of Light partnering with Bloomberg LP that recognizes 50 S&P 500 U.S. companies for terms of time, talent and resources used to improve the quality of life in their communities.
