Key Equipment Finance garners more accolades for its alternative commuting

Employees of Key Equipment Finance have attraced more notice this summer for a variety of smart commuting activities and accomplishments.

Key Equipment Finance was a winner in the Bike 36 Challenge, a fun, free competition to encourage work colleagues to experience the first-hand joys and benefits of riding a bike.

The four-week challenge took advantage of summer biking weather June 13 - July 8 and attracted 163 people from 32 different organizations.

Key Equipment Finance had the top showing in its category (200-499 employees), with:

  • 8.5% participation
  • 17 riders (5 of them new)
  • 3,531 miles cycled
  • 1,408 commuting miles cycled
  • many individual prizes earned, including gift certificates for bicycle tuneups, outdoor gear and frozen yogurt

Paige_photo.jpgAlso, congratulations to Key Equipment Finance employee Paige Yungstrom, who served as Challenge Champion and leads the company's Project impACT sustainability and wellness program.

Yungstrom was named a finalist this summer for the Employee Transportation Champion Award for the The Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) National Awards. She was nominated by 36 Commuting Solutions, which partners with Key Equipment Finance on a variety of alternative commuting activities.
