Benefits of early industry involvement

Two years ago, van de Boogaard increased his involvement in the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association and joined the association’s Emerging Talent Advisory Council (ETAC), and was featured in an article about the benefits of early involvement in the industry trade association.

He is passionate about the ETAC mission to enable the advancement and development of emerging talent, in particular, through the advocating efforts of the Guest Lecture Program," the Monitor profile says.

This program allows van de Boogaard to be more active in recruiting on college campuses and reaching the younger generation to make them aware of opportunities within the industry. (He) believes a foundation needs to be built for young leaders in equipment finance.

He also sees building relationships as an important aspect of leadership. "He prefers to lead by building strong relationships and helping others solve problems."
