Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion

KeyBank donated $300,000 in support of the diversity, equity and inclusion work that the Leeds School of Business facilitates. The donation was given to the Leeds School of Business Office of Diversity Affairs and it will directly support programs like the KeyBank Business Leadership Program and the KeyBank Summer Bridge programs, both of which focus on pre-college students from diverse backgrounds who would be first-generation college students. The programs are designed to give these students the confidence and encouragement needed to apply to college and to succeed once they get there.

“We know firsthand that the programs funded by this relationship increase retention rates, confidence, leadership skills, awareness of career opportunities and overall career readiness for participants.”
Adam Warner, president of Key Equipment Finance and member of the Leeds School of Business Advisory Board.

Long history with Leeds School of Business

KeyBank has supported the diversity initiatives at the Leeds School of Business for most of the last twenty years, and the programs have proven to be successful. For the most recent cohort of students enrolled in the KeyBank Business Leadership Program, 100 percent of the applicants to the University of Colorado at Boulder were accepted into the university’s Leeds School of Business.

“When we open the doors to education and opportunity for first generation college students, everyone wins,” Warner said.
